Betsie Valley Trail
22.3 miles. Moderate.
Old Ann Arbor Railroad bed.
Paved portion (5.5 miles. Easy) starts at Elberta, follows the Betsie River, heads north to Railroad Point and continues along Crystal Lake ending half mile past Mollineaux Road. Changes to pressed stone surface to Beulah. Eventually ends in Thompsonville. Scenic views, wildlife, and wetlands.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shoreline Trails

Old Indian Trail
2.3 mile loop, 3 mile loop.
Easy. Flat to gently rolling. View
of Lake Michigan and wide
expanse of low beach dunes.
Platte Plains Trail
4.6 mile loop, 3.5 mile loop, 6.6 mile loop. Easy-moderate. Mostly fl at, some short, steep hills. Primarily pine-oak-aspen woods with some open fi elds, and, near Lake Michigan, low beach dunes.
Empire Bluff Trail
1.5 mile loop.
Moderate-difficult. Hilly. Scenic viewpoint above Lake Michigan.
Windy Moraine Trail
1.5 mile loop. Hilly.
View of Glen Lake, Lake Michigan and
the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Shauger Hill Trail
2.4 mile loop. Hilly.

Three loops of 2.5-3 miles each, plus spur trail of .8 mile off first loop. Difficult. Hilly. Horses permitted.

Pyramid Point Trail
2.7 mi. loop.
Difficult.

Good Harbor Bay Trail
